Conference Sponsor
The Northwest Christian Writers Association NCWA was founded in 1990, as a board-governed, nonprofit, support organization for Christian writers. Their goal is to support and encourage writers in a noncompetitive environment, to help them develop excellent, professional writing skills, and to encourage them to seek after God. Whether you are just learning to write or have published numerous books, you are welcome. Meetings are held the first Monday night of each month (except summer) at Northshore Baptist Church, 10301 NE 145th St., Bothell, WA.
Meals
Friday meals are on your own. Friday box lunch for $12 or Friday Mexican dinner for $12, if ordered in advance (see registration form). Saturday meals are included in your registration fee. Nearby restaurant information will also be available at check-in Registration.

Bookstore
The Saltshaker Bookstore under the able leadership of Joshua Williams will provide you with an excellent selection of good reading and practical how-to writing books. He will handle sales of titles written by our speakers, teachers, and conferees. If you have published books that you would like to place on consignment for the conference, please call Joshua at 360-825-7258 or email him at joshua@thesaltshaker.com. Be sure to frequent the bookstore to expand your library and to find gifts of words for family and friends.
Driving Directions
Drive north or south on Interstate 405 to exit 22 (160th NE) and go west (a right turn coming from the north, a left turn coming from the south) on Juanita-Woodinville Way to the stoplight with a 7-11 on the right. Turn right onto NE 145th St. at the stoplight. Go approximately 1/2 mile and Northshore Baptist Church is on your left. There is a parking lot on the right (north) side of 145th and also one at the back (south) of the building near the main Worship Center entrance.
Group Editorial Appointments
A maximum number of people — usually five to six — will meet with an editorial rep. Each person will be given approximately three minutes to present an idea for a book. The editor or agent will indicate if he or she wishes to further pursue a particular idea. Follow-up appointments and/or requests to see manuscripts are at the editors’ discretion. Please respect the process, compressed as it is. Let your idea speak for itself.
Sign up online to have an appointment time waiting for you — or sign up when you arrive for remaining times. First come, first served.
Scholarships
The Northwest Christian Writers Renewal is sponsoring three full scholarships to this year’s conference, which includes Friday (optional Friday meals not included) and Saturday (Saturday meals included). Submit up to 100 words of dialogue between two people of differing ages discussing a faith issue. Use correct grammar and punctuation. You will be judged on creativity, quality of writing, and ability to follow the rules. Submissions are due by April 1 and will be awarded by April 15th. E-mail submission to jbodmer@msn.com.
